99% Maintenance and Care Guidelines
1.Cleaning and Lubrication
Tip 1
Regularly clean the chain: Use chain cleaner and a brush to remove dirt and oil stains from the chain's surface.
Tip 2
Lubricate the chain: After cleaning, apply an appropriate chain lubricant to lubricate the chain. Ensure that the lubricant covers the entire chain evenly and allows it to penetrate the chain links.
Tip 3
Lubrication frequency: Depending on usage conditions and chain type, it is generally recommended to lubricate the chain every 500 to 1000 kilometers. In harsh conditions (such as bad weather or dusty environments), the lubrication frequency may need to be increased.
2.Replacement Interval
Tip 1
Check chain wear: Regularly inspect the chain for signs of wear. If the chain becomes loose, produces noticeable noise, skips, or cannot be adjusted, it may need to be replaced.
Tip 2
Chain replacement interval: In most cases, it is advisable to replace the chain when it reaches a certain level of wear to ensure efficient power transmission and safety. The specific replacement interval can be determined based on the manufacturer's recommendations and the chain's usage.
Tip 3
Simultaneous sprocket replacement: When replacing the chain, it is recommended to replace both the drive sprocket and the driven sprocket to maintain compatibility and extend the lifespan of components.
3.Precautions
Tip 1
If using a water-based battery or if the chain comes into contact with battery fluid, replace the chain immediately. If the sprockets are also corroded by battery fluid, they should be replaced together to prevent accidents due to breakage.
Tip 2
If the chain is corroded by any other unidentified liquid, clean it immediately and conduct a stationary test ride after 24 hours of rest to ensure safety before continuing to ride (refer to Figure G).
4.About Connecting Components
Tip 1
This product is equipped with a hollow round rivet joint, which maintains ease of installation while maximizing the chain's lifespan and rider safety (see Figure H-1).
